I hired Mr. Viruet to represent me in the Bronx Family Court in my custody fight for my now 10-year-old daughter. This was back in 2015. This man completely disappointed me when he asked if he could speak with my daughter’s mother. We were at the courthouse that day ready for day-one of my trial. However, after speaking with my ex-spouse who was dressed provocatively, Mr. Viruet pushed me to settle the case. Under duress, I agreed to shared custody with visitation. It was a huge mistake on my part, especially with not having my $5k retainer refunded to me. Years would follow with my toddler daughter having to endure abuse of all sorts… verbal, emotional, physical, and even sexual molestation while in her neglectful mother’s care, or lack thereof. Eventually, I had to initiate another case with a new lawyer. This time it was a female attorney who turned out to be subpar and unprofessional. She was later fired and replaced by my current lawyer who has successfully gained full custody for me. The case took a while to end no takes to the pandemic, yet it was all worth it. I advise any father seeking to gain custody of his children to avoid any of the lawyers with offices around the Bronx Family Court. These are sharks who only want your money.
