Per my ex, her attorney (listed) advised her to withhold all custody and contact with me, the child’s father, until ordered to share by the court. While I realize that this action would paint me in the worst light to the court and validate claims of “I deserve sole custody because this father doesn’t care about his child”, it’s still wrong ethically because it harms the relationship the child has with its father and is deliberate advice to engage in parental alienation. NM is a 5050 state, why not encourage contact and the father’s engagement (afterall, you’re suing him for child support, right?)?
